The FIA World Endurance Championship is one of five FIA World Championships alongside Formula One (F1), World Rally Championship (WRC), the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and the GT1 World Championship.


In 2012 the Championship will be staged over 8 events in the United States, Belgium. France, UK, Brazil, Bahrain. Japan and China with 30 cars taking part.  The Championship will begin in Florida in March with the 12 hours of Sebring and the jewel in the crown with be the 80th 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.


MacLean Communications is contracted to provide press office services to the championship, with Jeff Carter being confirmed as the FIA Media Delegate, retaining his place on the FIA Press Council..
